ORDINANCE 2021-28
MODIFYING CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR CDBG PROGRAM
YEARS 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
WHEREAS, beginning in FY 1995, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) replaced the regulation for submission of applications for funding for various entitlement programs and the City prepared a consolidated submission for community planning and development programs in order to receive funding for these programs; and,
WHEREAS, the City prepared a Five-Year Housing and Community Development Plan for the period 2020-2024 which includes the Community Development Block Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City has developed an Annual Plan for each program year for the use of federal funds; and,
WHEREAS, THE City wishes to modify the budget of previously approved activities to cover approximately $86,117.81 in street improvement costs over the initial budget and $8500 to meet the committed match for the Green Light Go funding for the traffic signal at Diamond and Vine; and,
WHEREAS, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has moved to grant based accounting requiring each year to be accounted for separately so as to require a separate IDIS number for multi-year funded activities. Ordained
NOW THEREFORE, be it ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Hazleton that the following modification to program activities shall be made and approved.
