Dumpster Day

Dumpster Day 2025The Hazleton Police Department will be holding a FREE Dumpster Day in honor of Earth Day on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. until it's full on Shaft Road in Hazleton.

You must bring proof that you are a Hazleton City resident and are permitted to drop off ONE load per family. No electronics, tires, paint or batteries will be accepted!

* Week of Tuesday, April 22nd to Friday, April 25th, 2025- Northeast Section of Hazleton City- All Main Streets from Laurel Street to Thompson Street and Diamond Avenue to 22nd Street*

 Each day beginning at 7:00AM until 3:00PM

⚠️Please be advised that the Department of Public Works (DPW), while cleaning the streets, is drawing water to complete this task. As a result, you may experience dirty water. Site plan(s) showing to scale the size and location of all new construction and all existing structures on the site. Distances from lot lines, established street grades and the proposed finished grades. Site plan shall be drawn in accordance with an accurate boundary line survey, and include accessibility details: Parking, loading zones, accessible route(s) to building entrances.

Three (3) sets of plans and specifications signed and sealed by a registered design professional licensed in the state where the construction is to be performed. Plans shall include the following information.

  • (a) Front, rear and side elevations
  • (b) Type(s) construction
  • (c) Use group(s) and use of each area or room
  • (d) Occupant load of each area or room
  • (e) Means of egress plan
  • (f) Rated assembly details with design numbers
  • (g) Window, door and finish schedule
  • (h) Design loads and design calculations
  • (i) Shop and prefabricated component drawings
  • (j) Wall, floor, roof and foundation sections
  • (k) Details, connections and material designation
  • (l) Accessible features: counters, bathrooms, doorways, etc.
